1. Functional Capacity Evaluation Certification

Our Metriks Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) certification course equips students with the skills needed to design, administer, and interpret FCEs accurately. The course covers the four major FCE components: intake interview, clinical records review, physical examination, and content-valid functional testing. The course material follows the American Physical Therapy Association’s FCE Best Practices Guideline.

This 10-hour asynchronous course features pre-recorded lecture material and how-to videos, allowing you to study at your convenience. You can complete the course all at once or break it out over time, and you can email any questions you may have during your progress through the FCE course.

2. Office Ergonomics Certification

The Metriks Office Ergonomics Evaluator certification course teaches students how to assess various devices and furniture in an office environment. The course covers the major components of office ergonomics, including the tools needed to assess devices or furniture and potential resolutions for common issues.

This 4-hour on-demand course includes pre-recorded lecture material and how-to videos, enabling you to access the course material at your own pace. You can complete the course all at once or break it out over time, and you can email any questions you may have during your progress through the Office Ergonomic course.

3. Physical Demands Analysis Certification

The Metriks Education Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) Certification course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to design, administer, and interpret PDAs effectively. The course covers the major components of a PDA, focusing on quantifying and evaluating all physical and environmental demand components of all essential and non-essential job tasks.

This 6-hour asynchronous course consists of pre-recorded lecture material and how-to videos, allowing you to study at your convenience. You can complete the course all at once or break it out over time, and you can email any questions you may have during your progress through the PDA course.

About the Instructor

Kevin is a University of Waterloo graduate with over 20 years of experience teaching Functional Evaluations. He is a faculty member at the University of Guelph-Humber, teaching courses in Occupational Biomechanics and Functional Capacity Evaluations. Kevin also teaches for the Graduate Diploma in Professional Kinesiology at Lakehead University.
